Fees

How our fees work

No surprises. German tax advisor fees follow a federal regulation, and you get a clear quote before any work begins.

What determines the cost

Type of task

A tax return, ongoing bookkeeping, an objection or structuring advice are billed differently.

Value of the matter

The StBVV links many fees to the amounts involved, e.g. income or turnover.

Complexity

Foreign income, several countries, equity compensation or crypto require more work.

Your preparation

Complete, well-organised documents keep the effort — and the fee — lower.

The process

  1. Book a first video consultation and describe your situation.
  2. We tell you what applies and what the work will cost.
  3. You receive a written quote or fee agreement.
  4. Only after your confirmation do we start.

Not sure where to start? Fill in the new client questionnaire and we come back to you with a first assessment.

Fee questions

Is there an official fee scale for tax advisors in Germany?

Yes. German tax advisors bill under the Steuerberatervergütungsverordnung (StBVV), a federal fee regulation. It sets frameworks per task, often based on the value of the matter.

Will I know the cost before you start?

Yes. After the first consultation you receive a written quote or fee agreement. No work starts without your confirmation.

Are tax advisor fees tax-deductible?

Depending on what the fees relate to, they can be deductible, for example as business expenses or income-related expenses. We tell you what applies in your case.

Can we agree on a flat fee?

For ongoing advice, a fixed monthly or annual fee can be agreed in writing within the legal framework. It makes your costs predictable.
